When SVM came to Happy, the overall goal was to get a new communication strategy. The choice was spearheaded by management, who no longer felt that the existing website reflected the company's special way of approaching clients and their needs.
Therefore, the primary task for Happy was to set the tone for communication that showed the true nature of SVM - an innovative, dynamic, and different company that never thinks in standard designs, but always creates custom solutions.
At the same time, it was important to design a website that met the same requirements - it would have to be interesting, and make SVM attractive to new potential customers and employees alike. And it had to function as an active part of SVM's marketing.
We started the process with an extensive research phase that included interviews with current and potential customers, employees, suppliers and other stakeholders. The knowledge payoff was huge - a key finding being that networks scored high on the customers' agenda.
For SVM, in being a process-oriented business, it came naturally for them to involve themselves actively in the process of creating a new communication strategy, following the research phase. Together, we experienced a mutually beneficial teamwork, where sales and business strategy was also discussed.
With the research findings fresh in mind, we created a universe with heavy focus on the network-aspect. Amongst other initiatives, this has lead to creation of the reccurent "SVM-Day", an event that brings together several of the largest players in SVM's business, both customers and suppliers. SVM-Day brings about seminars with respected speakers, system showcases, and more.
The SVM-Day has become such a success that SVM has expanded on the concept, and now arranges networking events for their customers on-site, that focus on creating a custom solution for that specific customer.
SVM's new website is to a large degree built on the expectations of their customers, making it very case and news oriented. Furthermore, it briefly and accurately describes SVM's unique work process, complemented with pictures, graphics, and schematics to pique the interest of curious engineers and engineering students.
The flexible and alternative build also makes the website a great tool for sales presentations.
SVM clearly expresses that they have gotten a communication strategy and a website that accurately reflects their nature as it is: "Special and dynamic". SVM's new expression has received plenty of positive feedback from customers and potential employees and suppliers - and the overall process has already started to pay off in form of new contracts and contacts.
SVM develops and produces mounting, packaging, and processing systems, through a structured process in which all possibilities and solutions are explored and challenged. The result is unique, specialized machinery, with quality assurance all the way from production to setup and testing.
SVM is a site for idea development, putting technology at the center, and where no one knows the correct solution beforehand. SVM's customer list is global, and the typical project scope is within 5-30 mio. DKK.
